IT'S NOT
A
MONSTER

The concept was to work with an interdimensional portal.
The narrative is titled “It is not a monster” which refers to the belief in monsters under the bed (children's nightmare). The monster vanishes when the light is on.
The story begins with the appearance of a mysterious light under the bed but it's seen as a dream or some imagination; however, realizing that he has responsibilities in the morning, he prefers to discover what is the light under the bed.
When touching the light, he is transported to another world, where he finds more lights that are not really what they seem.

About the art direction, compositions are changing perspective consecutively. (Photo 1, how we see the character; Photo 2, what he sees; Photo 3, what we see; Photo 4, what he sees, and so on), this is connected with change.
It was also decided to use color theory in each scene. There is a noticeable transition from cool to warm tones, in order to feel the big difference in interdimensional change. The main light in cold scenes is green because this color is associated with hope, life, and in our environment it is not usually common, so which creates more intrigue. On the other hand, warm colors were used to show the danger, energy and warmth of being the home of lights.
